Life Is Changing

What do you do when everything is changing so fast and you have no clue how to slow down? Well, that’s exactly where I am right now.

In the last month, my 2 girls have moved home with all of my grandsons. We are at max capacity. I love having my family around, I am not used to having kids under foot all the time anymore. So, with my 2 girls, 3 grandsons, my Cane Corso Martok, Ivan, and myself, you could say there isn’t a quiet moment in this household anymore. I don’t remember what it’s like to have a quiet lazy day.

The last month has been insanely busy. Kids and grandkids moving in, selling birds left and right, planning our vacation to Washington (which also lands on our wedding anniversary), teaching my daughter how to care for all my animals while we are gone. I am so thankful for her hard work and learning all the chores. She’s an amazing human being and such a tender spirit.

So, we are getting ready for vacation, we’ve been cleaning and organizing our shipping container, cleaning out the barn, repairing the barn roof, hatching chicks, going to auctions, trying to keep everything and everyone running smoothly.

Some days it feels like a rat race to get everything done. I hope it all starts to even out soon. Finding our new routine and getting everything aligned.
